Laser Companies Are Fighting for you.  You are the Pie!

Lets Look at that, but first a disclaimer:

All of the data presented here should be taken with a grain of salt. Do your own research. Some of it may ring true, other parts might sound like bologna. That’s the point—this is meant to be thought-provoking, not the final word.

If you’d like to challenge it, add your own perspective, or just kick the tires on the ideas, the place to do that is the Laser Freedom Facebook Group.

My goal is to encourage you to think critically about how the machine you’re considering is engineered. Marketing lasts only as long as the ad campaign; the machine itself will stay with you much longer. At least in my opinion, that’s where your attention belongs.

Okay—disclaimer done. Let’s get to the meat.

The Big Marketing Machines

Let's see if you agree Xtool dominates the internet? . Search Google, scroll YouTube, open Facebook — there they are.  But  based on the commercial shops I walk into,  and you won’t see much of their hardware on the floor.  So here is what I did, I ran "Organic Search Audits" for these companies using a system that is widely respected and something all the readers could replicate.  The results in a pie chart.

Even People in the Laser Industry may say OMG!

Xtool commands 83% of the Organic Search Results! Talk about the bigges slice of the pie.   Yes, as I did this research I was also suprised. I thought to myself I recently did a head to head visual comparison for Aeon Laser and the Xtool P2 Laser.   It was not about marketing it was about the engineering of the Lasers.   Maybe you would like to see that video now.

I am full of disclaimers today — here’s another one. At the time this article is being published, I am an Aeon Partner, but that may change soon. That could be another blog article.

Lets Jump to Epilog at 14% of the Market Share.

Epilog Laser is an American company that grabs organic search results. It appears they rightfully boast that their lasers are built in the United States. Should you consider them in your search for a laser? I would think so! So let me give you their link:.   EPILOG LASER

Should We Examine The Other Few %, You Betcha!

As some of you may guess, I put a higher value on engineering and innovation than I do on marketing. xTool just released what I’m hearing is an 80-watt CO₂ laser. That’s not a new invention as I see it — it’s a step into a market previously dominated by others. Is my opinion correct? Come into the Laser Freedom Facebook Group and share your thoughts.

Real Innovation is coming up with a "Magnetic Optics Holder" for the lens in a CO2 Laser,  Wasn't Aeon Laser did with their Redline Series, first?  Should they not get credit for being leaders.

No Screws to remove for this laser head. Magnets hold it in place making time to clean much faster.

What to get really out of the box?  Look at what  1Laser and LensDigital did with a standing rotary machine.  Now I am open to being wrong but seeing is believing.  These companies with small footprints when it comes to organinc internet search are not following anyone.

Want to see some courtsey links for these Companies and the next two I am going to mention?

ONE LASER      LENS DIGITAL   THUNDER LASER USA   HAOTIAN LASER

Rounding out the list of those I did organic website traffic for are Haotian who are very popular in professional engraving shops in what I will call the commmerical laser industry.  They seem to be in a large percentage of the shops I go into or know of in the Galvo Laser Market.    I have even done a test on the Haotian 30 watt fiber and it was a great machine and after the review I sent it to a real purchaser.   I am not a HaoTian Affilate!

"THUNDER" is a name that has a very strong following and offers lasers in both CO₂ and fiber galvo. They are not to be dismissed. Based in Texas with American support, I can see why they are popular. Like the others I’ve mentioned, they have lots of repeat customers in professional engraving and laser-cutting environments.

I could go on and on, but I think I’ve clearly stated my question to you: should you rely on a company with a large marketing approach, or should you consult professionals who own machines in multiple laser wavelengths? I am always open to being wrong, but when purchasing anything with moving parts, I’ve tried to look past the marketing to the engineering.

Speaking of marketing, I strongly suggest that you read my blog entry about the Influencer vs. Craftsman. If you find a favorite influencer, to me it’s fair game to ask them questions. Questions like: Are you bound to a contract that prohibits you from saying anything negative about the product? I know this happens — I’ve declined reviewing machines for that very reason.
